This East Dallas legend, more than 20 years old, is one of Dallas’ best options for reliably great Thai food. Definitely order the satay, which is grilled to perfection at the table, and a piping hot bowl of tom kha gai, extra spicy. Pad see ew, pad thai, and Thai barbecue chicken are all excellent entree choices, and don’t sleep on the sticky rice & mango dessert. In a large nonstick skillet, heat 3 tablespoons of the oil until shimmering. Add the shallots and garlic and cook over high heat, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned, about 3 minutes. Add the pad thai noodles and stir-fry until heated through, about 2 minutes. Add the shrimp and cook, stirring occasionally, until they begin to curl and turn pink, about 2 minutes. Scrape the noodles and shrimp to one side of the pan and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil to the empty side of the skillet. Add the eggs and cook, stirring occasionally, until nearly set, about 1 minute. Add the scallions and toss everything together, keeping the eggs relatively intact. Add the fish sauce mixture and stir-fry until the noodles are evenly coated, 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer the pad thai to a platter. Top with peanuts, cilantro and bean sprouts and serve with lime wedges. Lamai Thai: school of authentic cooking
If you’re passing through Midtown and you’re craving some larb, swerve to the east fifties and every other storefront will be a Thai restaurant. It can get a little overwhelming, but Wondee Siam is always a good choice. It’s nothing fancy, but if you want good penang curry or some pineapple fried rice that you’ll want to mash up and make a night retainer out of, hit up Wondee. The whole fried snapper should be ordered as well (because it’s $22 and it’ll get you through the winter).
Add another tablespoon of oil to the pan. Drain the noodles – they should be softened by now. Add the noodles to the hot pan and stir fry for a minute, using tongs to toss. Add the sauce and stir fry for another minute or two, until the sauce is starting to thicken and stick to the noodles. Push the noodles aside to make a little room for the egg – pour the beaten egg into the pan and let it sit for 30 seconds or so. Toss everything around with the tongs. The egg mixture will stick to the noodles and everything will start getting sticky.

From Sysco, CAKE is a full-service POS and management system that includes online ordering. The cloud based system allows you to accept orders online and manage them alongside in-person orders on the same platform. It includes a transaction fee, so it can be a good option for small restaurants just getting started. But the costs will grow the more money you make.
I have been thinking about pad thai. I love Thai food in general but don’t have it often these days. A place I liked to go to for pad thai closed recently…think I’ll have to make it at home again soon. I love your authentic version with tamarind. For some reason, I have had no luck finding it (I use lime juice). This seriously looks so scrumptious! I wish I could have some!! Beauty Spa in London,Crouch End
“A native Thai woman made this for a Thai cooking class. This is how she learned to make it from her mother. We tasted the dish and it was great. We did not have Pad Thai sauce with it but she said the store bought type was fine. Vegetables or tofu may be substituted for the chicken. She noted that overcooked noodles do not stir-fry well and do not look good. If using fresh noodles, instead of dried, they will cook in less than 1 minute.”

Kai jeow is the unsung hero of Thailand. Every Thai kid has grown up on this wok fried omelette, which can be stuffed with a variety of ingredients. The two fillings I love most are the moo sab -- garlicky, peppery ground pork -- or nam -- a sour, fermented Thai sausage. The trick to getting a perfect kai jeow is cook over very high heat, resulting in a crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside egg dish. You’ll never be able to go back to regular omelettes after this.

**Fish sauce is available in the Asian food section of most grocery stores or you can purchase it online. They also make a VEGAN version as well as a gluten free version. I HIGHLY recommend using any one of these, as it adds important saltiness and irreplaceable Thai flavor to the dish. If you must make a substitution, use additional low-sodium soy sauce.
Hailing from the Northeast state of Isaan, this outlandish dish is both great divider - some can't get enough of its bite, some can't handle it - and greatly distinctive. Garlic, chilies, green beans, cherry tomatoes and shredded raw papaya get dramatically pulverized in a pestle and mortar, so releasing a rounded sweet-sour-spicy flavour that's not easily forgotten. Regional variations throw peanuts, dry shrimp or salted crab into the mix, the latter having a gut-cleansing talent that catches many newcomers by surprise!

Here is a very quick Asian-style marinade for meat which you can use with any stir-fry. Place 2-3 Tbsp. soy sauce in a cup (use 3 Tbsp. for 1 1/2 cups sliced chicken, or 2 Tbsp. for 1 cup chicken). Add 2 tsp. cornstarch and stir until the cornstarch dissolves. Now pour this mixture over the sliced chicken. Stir to combine. Allow the chicken to marinate in this mixture until ready to use. This online ordering system and app is made to work using every format your customers are likely to use. The annual plan starts at $119 per month, plus credit card processing fees.

We had six or so meals among the four of us, including curry, Thai fried rice, stir fries, and we also had appetizers (egg rolls and pot stickers). We were so happy to eat such high quality food, and all four of us were delighted to find this restaurant in this small town we are visiting on our vacation. The owner/operator was working hard and cares a lot about making her business excellent - it shows! A little place, none too fancy. I would highly recommend the yellow curry and the Thai basil dinner (a fried rice mix). Would return! Simply Thai, Teddington - Gordon Ramsay
A kid takes over his parents’ family Thai restaurant on the Sunset Strip and turns it into the greatest Thai restaurant Los Angeles has. Tale as old as time, right? Hardly. What the people over at Night + Market (and its equally fantastic Silver Lake location) have been doing for the past few years is nothing short of incredible. The food is both traditional (grandma’s old recipes are still being used) and continuously pushing the envelope. And the atmosphere is one giant, beautiful party. For Angelenos, Thai Town invokes images of trips to the ATMs, late night post-bar drunk munchies, and levels of spiciness that transcend the normal threshold considered healthy for human consumption. Pad thai is made with soaked dried rice noodles, which are stir-fried with eggs and chopped firm tofu, and is flavored with tamarind pulp, fish sauce, dried shrimp, garlic or shallots, red chili pepper and palm sugar and served with lime wedges and often chopped roasted peanuts. It may contain other vegetables like bean sprouts, garlic chives, pickled radishes or turnips, and raw banana flowers. It may also contain fresh shrimp, crab, squid, chicken or other animal products. Many of the ingredients are provided on the side as condiments such as the red chili pepper, lime wedges, roasted peanuts, bean sprouts and other miscellaneous fresh vegetables. Vegetarian versions may substitute soy sauce for the fish sauce and omit the shrimp.

Their spice rating is totally fuked. They have spicy 1-4. "It's Thai spicy," I hear them say. "So it's way spicier than other Thai restaurants." It's like they think they are cool because they rate their spice level on a scale completely different than every other Thai restaurant in America. I've hear different people at different times sitting at different tables get totally confused about this, and end up ordering their food at 1.5 stars, or .8 stars. Most vegetarians would be pretty angry if they found out after eating that their meal contained fish sauce. I would personally consider it on par with using chicken/beef broth. I’ve seen a recipe for vegetarian fish sauce (http://veganmiam.com/recipes/vegan-fish-sauce) and I’ve personally just swapped it out for low sodium soy sauce or a touch of miso in other recipes. The CHEAPEST Tablet on the Market
I made this recipe sans the lentils portion (we wanted to use up other veggies in the fridge) and thought it was very tasty! I followed the meatball portion of the recipe to a T, but I left the mixture in the fridge for a full 2 days because I didn't have time to cook up the meatballs. My husband said these are the best turkey meatballs he has ever eaten. We weren't blown away by the yogurt sauce...after trying it, we added some sauteed garlic and shallots for some additional flavor. Overall, a solid recipe and I'd recommend giving it a try. LA has a number of vegan Thai restaurants, and for the most part, they’re terrible. Save for Araya’s Place. The Beverly Grove strip mall joint started in Seattle, and has been around for almost 30 years. And while we’ll always prefer our curry with meat, we’d be lying if we said we didn’t think about their avocado curry more than we probably should. The green curry itself is outstanding, but the avocado mixes so well with it, you wonder why more people don’t serve it. If you’re a vegan, you can’t get much better than this place. And if you’re not, the statement still stands.

“Customers who order through our Toast website receive faster service than those who order through a third-party site because it’s connected directly to our kitchen. It takes 4 or 5 minutes longer per ticket if the order comes in through an external vendor. SriPraPhai holds it down in Woodside as the resident OG Thai food destination. Haters will tell you there are better authentic Thai places, and, in a way, they’re probably right.
