You may have encountered papaya salad, but Ngam's Hong Thaimee encourages you to take it to the next level: "This is a traditional Thai pairing," she explains. "The three are frequently eaten together." The chicken is often skewered, and sticky rice will come with. "At Thai street carts, the spice level is often customized," she explains. "People think Thai food is spicy, but it's a matter of taste."
Diehard Thai fans make the pilgrimage to Issaquah’s Noodle Boat partly because Noodle Boat workers make the pilgrimage to Thailand annually, researching new dishes and making authentic chili paste to bring back to Seattle. Playfully named dishes like Queen of Banana, King of Garlic, Hot Meat, and “Whatever You Called?” can bring on serious heat by request. Recommended: BKK — Noodle Boat’s version of hor mok (curried fish custard), which is stir-fried rather than steamed.

The food at Up Thai isn’t the on the level of the stuff you want to travel for, but on the Upper East Side, it gets no better. Delivery is tempting, but many of the best things won’t travel well (and the dining room isn’t a bad place to spend some time). So DVR that episode of The Bachelorette and get yourself a table. Order the chicken larb, the whole red snapper, and the crispy duck with tamarind sauce. If you’re really into seafood, get a Thai bouillabaisse, which is a thing here. SELLING ALCOHOL IN THAI RESTAURANTS IN THE UK
Thai restaurants in New York are a dime a dozen, reliable workhorses scattered densely across every neighborhood, and most everyone has their go-to takeout spot: the one that delivers generally unobjectionable if unexceptional pad Thai and pineapple fried rice on the quick and cheap. It’s easy to mistake this mediocrity as defining Thailand’s cuisine. And so it can be genuinely life-changing to unlock the next level of the city’s Thai food: the more authentic, hyperregional, or at least bold, adventurous, and thrillingly palate-altering dishes offered by New York’s very best Thai restaurants. Kris Yenbamroong of L.A.'s Night + Market Song recommends crab fried rice. It's ideal for delivery because it travels well and is "delicious after being reheated in a microwave." It also plays nice with the other random assortment of ingredients in your fridge, Yenbamroong explains—a major plus for all takeout. Here's his best argument for the sweet-spicy combination of crab meat and fried rice: "I love pad thai, but it’s so much about the technique and the texture of the noodle that it's best enjoyed at the restaurant. Meanwhile, fried rice I can reheat three days later and it’s just as good.”

We have the kids for a few more days this week before they go back to their family, and I honestly thought I wouldn’t see the inside of a kitchen for the rest of the time that they were with us, but somehow, during these last few days, I’ve army-crawled my way back into the kitchen to fight something delicious into existence which feels like a major personal and professional win. I even found it in me to eat this Rainbow Vegetarian Pad Thai for dinner the other night while feeding the kids some leftover pizza and apples. YES I KNOW. Don’t be thrown off by the psychedelic setting or the Cindy Crawford poster, which is reminiscent of roadside shacks in the Thai countryside. The indigenous Thai street food Kris Yenbamroong is cooking up at both the new Silver Lake outpost and the original West Hollywood NIGHT + MARKET is everything we’ve come to love about north and northeastern Thai food—pungent, bold flavors and gobs of heat smacking you in the face. The best approach: bring friends and share lots of small plates. Start with luu suk, a “dipping soup” of pork blood and MSG topped with fresh herbs and pork cracklings, and spicy catfish larb before digging into the pork toro (75 percent of which is fat) and curries, alongside generous helpings of sticky rice. To tame the fire, order a bottle of pét-nat, a natural sparkling wine. Close your eyes and taste—you could easily be in Chiang Rai.

Pa Ord has two locations, both within very close proximity of each other on Sunset Blvd. And to make matters more confusing, their menus are different. So we’ll make it easy on you - go to the #2 location at Sunset and La Brea. The menu is much bigger here, which means you can find their legendary Tom Yum soup, their boat noodles, and all the curries you could want. It’s also the only location with an online menu for take-out orders.

Greyhound Cafe in Fitzrovia has a loud, young clientele but the Bangkok street food more than makes up for the slightly hectic atmosphere. And there is a large outdoor patio to escape to when the London weather permits. Popular Phad Thai is on offer here too but with an interesting twist of seared scallops instead of prawns or chicken. A wok prepared rice dish with crab meat is pleasingly flavoured with garlic and chilli. Greyhound Cafe brings Bangkok to London with traditional recipes handed down from generations past, to riotous dishes from street markets, to improvised contemporary plates. When it comes to flavor profiles, Thai food is as distinct and polarizing as they come. Spicy, sour, sweet and savory are all in play, and can (and will) be used simultaneously in a single dish. With a vast culinary tradition that varies significantly by region, the country of Thailand produces some of the most fascinating and craving-inducing food on the planet, and Los Angeles's huge Thai community (and fans of Thai food in general) have been able to sustain one of the largest thriving Thai food scenes in the country.

Don't let the exterior fool you or think that Cle Elum can't offer excellent Thai food. Jenny the owner greeted me and enthusiastically customized my dinner to perfection. Everything is homemade and freshly prepared. Loved the perfect mix of grilled vegetables and grilled chicken with their sauce. Flavors of the grill are present as well. So delicious with large portions for very reasonable prices! Heirloom British Restaurant in Crouch End London serving Delicious Food and Wine

I found this website looking for a pad thai recipe using konjac noodles. I made this recipe and it’s actually better than most pad thai I’ve eaten at thai restaurants. I added in some lemongrass and made mine with chicken, shrimp, and tofu. VERY good. I have since also tried another recipe from your blog – the super fudgey brownies and also my favorite brownie recipe! Thanks! Yum Yum Thai Restaurant
If only the word “cafeteria” more often described places like this one, where food is ordered by pointing to unlabeled sections of a steam table, à la rice-curry stalls and shops in Thailand. Combos feature two or three dishes plus rice. You never know what you’re going to get but you can be sure it will be delicious, from super-spicy curries to stewed pork belly with tofu.

Square’s restaurant POS solution offers an in-person and restaurant ordering system all in one. So basically, all the orders come into the same place so that you can manage them concurrently. This can be a positive feature for restaurants that do a good mix of carryout and dine-in business. However, the company charges a transaction fee rather than a larger monthly fee, so it may not be as cost effective for restaurants that make a fair amount in monthly sales. ISARN Thai Restaurant

We dropped in for lunch and it was a delicious surprise with excellent food. The Tom Yom soup is delicious. The spice was perfect for level 2. Their pad Thai was excellent. The chicken satay was well done and I could taste that the peanut sauce is homemade. They have a unique dish Malay vegetable. You may not find it in other Thai places. Loved the taste. They seemed busy with crowd so the wait was little longer than expected. But for a small mom and pop shop, that is understandable with a big party there. Enjoy your food there. Ting
Are you sick of those wide rice noodles yet? (No.) "These are basically pan-fried rice noodles with egg, Chinese broccoli, and your protein of choice," says Tila. The star ingredient is what sets this dish apart from laad na: a sweet soy sauce made with molasses. "It's nice and dark, with a sweet-salty balance." In fact, Tila thinks this dish is a shining example of the inherent complexity of Thai food. "I don't think that Americans have made Thai food too sweet—it's just that the spice and acid are often missing. And anyway, if it's not a little sweet it's not authentically Thai." This dish often hits the bullseye.
